woke up 2 am with the sudden urge to pee.

slight spotting, brownish color.

cramps every five minutes.

took a bath around 4 am because the cramps kept waking me up despite me wanting to sleep.

sterilized baby’s bottles.

mommy prepared her stuff. then she took a bath.

ate breakfast. bread and water only.

texted melvin’s friend so he could drive me to the hospital in case of emergency. no reply.

was able to sleep around 6. no more cramps. slept for 1.5 hours.

cramps no more when i woke up. walked in the yard for 15 minutes.

took breakfast again, this time, hotdog and rice.

got a call from melvin.

went to the bank to withdraw money.

slept for three hours. no more cramps.

what i learned so far?

• most couples don’t talk about money. they just assume that they are on the same page when it comes to money matters. (in short, it’s a must to talk about money.)
• It’s important to determine the role of money in your life.
• write down your goals. make them specific. and be sure to do something about them. speaking of, i’d like to share my financial goals for the year.
• pay yourself first. before payiing your bills, setting aside money for expenses, give yourself some sweldo.

financial goals for 2008-2009

• pay debts/loans/credit card (SIP) (konti na lang, bayad na silang lahat. slowly but surely! yey!)
• open savings account for parents
• go out of town this year (bohol/palawan/singapore/anywhere basta out of town)
• purchase insurance for melvin
• change my payment mode from semi-monthly to annual (para makatipid)
• save 20% of our salary
• buy an educational plan for baby
• start business with friends (first quarter next year)
• change career – pinag-iisipan. 200K din yon. ilang gatas at diapers din un.

sana matupad ko lahat para naman magkasilbi ang book na binili ko worth php535.00. hehe.

i love you mites. have a happy birthday. miss na kita. sana kabirthday mo si mikaila, pero mukhang ayaw pa rin niya lumabas today. hehe.

one of my favorite people in the world is getting married on august 8, 2008.

there she is o, beside me. sara. mrs. paul alvarez na sya this august.

ang tagal lumabas ni baby, naiinip na ‘ko. hehe.

some people are just so immature. and i hate them for being that way. and i promise myself, when the time comes that our obligations with them are settled, i won’t ask for their help again. never again.

i’m going to singapore this year.

to resign or not to resign.

i’m thinking of filing a resignation after i give birth. having a baby is the ultimate reason for this thought. i want to be the one to take care of her. my mom says i can always bring my baby in manila, though not immediately. thinking of being away from my baby makes me cry, huhuhu.

there are a lot of considerations though. for one, i still have a contract with my company and will have to pay php200,000.00 if i resign. second, we’re just starting a family and i don’t want to be a burden to my husband. i want to help him with our finances. i also think i’m not yet ready to give up my career, though i really want to leave my present company right now. being in the branch is too risky. and the compensation is not enough to cover the risks accompanied with the job.

hay… i don’t want to stress myself thinking about this stuff right now, though i asked God to give me signs whether i should pursue this decision or not. an increase in my salary and an AA plr rating would be good signs; signs saying i should stay, for there will be a bright future ahead of me. and if my transfer to head office or here in batangas happens, that also means i should stay. passing the audit is another sign. basta Lord, give me signs whether i should stay or not.
